Meridian Time and Date

The following describes how to set the time and date MANUALLY in LD 2, which you will want to do with an older PBX release.
Alternatively, you can Set the Time with NTP if available.

NOTE: You must login as ADMIN2 to change the time and/or date.

NOTE: Manually setting the 'time and date' may impact other ELAN devices or applications.

Note, the commands shown here are blocked for 'co-resident' systems (Call Server and Signaling Server applications co-located on a CP PM server/card). With co-resident' systems, Time of Day is controlled from the Linux Base layer, and set with: datatimeconfig

Set Time and Date:

Use a TTY (PuTTY) to access LD 2.

➤ To prinT the Time And Date, enter:

TTAD

Example: TTAD Thu 21 11 2024 01 37 54

➤ To Set the Time And Date, use the same format, eg:

STAD <day> <month> <year> <hour> <minute> <second>

Example: ⇐ Current time. Enter this command exactly as shown.

The year may be input as 4-digits or 2-digit short form. The 2-digit short form is assumed to be in the range 1976-2075.
The other entries in the time of day output are 2-digit numbers. The example above is calculated from your PC's clock.

Pentium II Cores (and newer) have a battery clock, earlier systems (68000) need re-setting after a powerfail.

If there's a TFC0017 message with STAD, refer to: Set the Time with NTP.

Set daily time adjustment:

The time of day can be adjusted during the midnight routines to compensate for a fast or slow system clock.

To print the current adjustment: TDTA

TFC000
.tdta 1 000 positive adjustment, of zero milliseconds! (default)
.

To set the adjustment: SDTA x y

Where: x = 0 (negative increment) or 1 (positive increment)
y = 0-60 second adjustment in 100mS increments
.sdta 1 000 -- 1 200      add 2 seconds per day (during midnight routines)

Set and print Daylight Savings Time:

Daylight savings time adjustment can be made to take place automatically. Set both FWTM (forward) and BWTM (back) dates, and enable the automatic change capability with SDST ON. The settings are printed with tdst in LD 2, and survive a sysload. Eg:

.tdst
SDST ON
FWTM MAR  L FRI 2 (AT 02:00 29/3/1996 )
BWTM OCT  L SUN 2 (AT 02:00 27/10/1996 )

Use the following commands:

FWTM <month> <week> <day> <hour> Set the time and date to move ForWard.

month = 1-(4)-12 [January-December]
week = (1)-5, L [1st-5th, L is the last week of the month]
day = (1)-7 [Sunday-Saturday]
hour = 1-(2)-22 [Midnight-11pm]

BWTM <month> <week> <day> <hour> Set the time and date to move BackWard.

month = 1-(4)-12 [January-December]
week = (1)-5, L [1st-5th, L is the last week of the month]
day = (1)-7 [Sunday-Saturday]
hour = 1-(2)-22 [Midnight-11pm]

SDST ON, OFF ON enables the automatic change capability
OFF disables the automatic change capability
TDST <CR> Query the daylight savings time adjustment information.

From the Attendant Console:

Access LD12, and CHG a console TN to add:

To set time and/or date:

  1. At the console, press a spare loop key
  2. Press MTM key, enter new 4-digit time, eg: (hhmm)
    Press MDT key, enter new 6-digit date, eg: (ddmmyy)
  3. Press MTM or MDT again
  4. Press the Release key

Note, this feature only works on actual consoles such as 1250's, and 2250's.
