PM5 Lists

Lists can be created or modified by choosing Lists from the Administration menu. The following types of lists are available:

Speed Call List
A Speed Call List stores a list of abbreviated dialing codes and associated telephone numbers. Calls can be placed to the telephone number stored against a code by using the speed call feature and dialing the appropriate speed call code.
System Speed Call List
A System Speed Call List is similar to a Speed Call List with the exception that a System Speed Call List can temporarily override dialing restrictions i.e. telephone numbers which are not normally accessible from a telephone because of dialing restrictions may be accessible via a system speed call list entry. For example, an area code may be barred from a telephone, but a particular telephone number with the same area code may be accessible via a system speed call list entry.
Hotline List
The Hotline feature enables a user to place a call to a predetermined hotline number from an analogue set simply by lifting the handset, or from a digital set by pressing a single key. When the hotline feature is added to a telephone, the hotline number can be a pointer to an entry on the Hotline List. For example, the courtesy telephones in an airport could all hotline to the information desk. If each courtesy telephone is programmed to hotline to the directory number of the information desk and the directory number of the information desk changes for some reason, then each courtesy telephone will have to be re-programmed. If, on the other hand, the courtesy telephones were programmed to hotline to an entry on the hotline list, the hotline list entry can be changed when the directory number of the information desk changes and all the courtesy telephones will automatically hotline to the new number without having to be re-programmed.
Group Hunt List
A Group Hunt List contains a list of directory numbers which can be accessed via a Pilot Directory Number associated with the list. A call routed to the hunt group will automatically hunt along the list of directory numbers and terminate on the first free directory number encountered. A Pilot Directory Number can be dialed directly and it can also be used as the hunt number associated with a telephone.
